Bodega and Bodega Bay (live, housing, horses)

How windy is it in Blowdega Bay? Is the weather good enough for horses in Bodega? Is the fog so bad in Bodega Bay and Bodega that you can't drive at night? Can you ride much during rainy season? Is it really cold?

Hi, I'm looking seriously at Bodega Bay, too, but did you sincerely refer to it right off the bat as "Blowdega" Bay? I get the pun, since you were inquiring about wind, but still. Anyway, if you scroll down through all the sections ands boxes referring to housing and jobs and such, you'll eventually come to the climate section. It won't help much w/r/t fog, but I've lived up and down the CA coast, and you can expect "fog" most summer days, but often this fog is lifted off the ground; generally speaking, it should not interfere with your riding. As for wind, it's not particularly windy; in fact, summertime, when I presume you'll do most of your riding, is the *least* windy time of year. You're more likely to have trouble with winter rains. Rains can occasionally be heavy in November threough March, and while I don't consider daytime temps of 50+ "cold", you might. Bodega is a lovely town with LOTS of retirees. If you're looking for big-town amenities, expect to drive. Party City, it's not.
