Thunder Boats are back at Mission Bay this weekend - Sept 17 - 20
'
You can watch for free from Crown Point Drive (in PB), or pay around $20 admission for a closer view.

Watch huge high-powered speed boats race around 200mph.

They can kick up a fan of water around 50 feet high.

Great family event.

I may try to go and watch from Crown Point. I don't want to spend $20.

Yeah I saw the prices on the news and just laughed.Only in San Diego a day to watch boats that are as fast as NASCAR cars and as loud as a Jet plane, would cost around 45 dollars.I'm imagining Jimmy Johnson and some pilot from Southwest Airlines moving a boat/plane-like project on the water.I just saved 45 dollars.
