i grew up in El Cajon - granite hills area. it's not that bad. sure it's a bit boring compared to SD proper, but i thought it was a great place to grow up. you pay for what you get, and i would only live there if it was near my work. I don't see why Chaldeans/Iraqis are problematic?

Default Seriously--El Cajon is a gem!!!

In Santa Barbara in the last two weeks two people were murdered; one stabbed, one shot. There are gangs, graffiti everywhere, tons of homeless, and 100's of entitled trust fund babies who love to sue each other and get into each others' business (unless they are walking by the poor homeless guy who are "in their way")...and all that can be had for the bargain basement price of a studio apartment for $1000, or a 3 bedroom track home for a cool million; OR you can have the beautiful weather and amenities of El Cajon for a home of half that price and many good, kind hard working normal people who look out for one another. El Cajon is filled with down to earth folks working hard to make their community into something for which they can be proud!!!

I have lived in the Pepper Drive area for 6 years now. It's not bad larger lots, a lot of trees, cooler than the valley floor and we get a nice breeze. I have experienced zero crime and have met some real nice people. However take Mollison to Bradley ave towards the DMV and the hole vibe changes. So take a look at the Pepper Drive area, there are no apartments and most of the older homes like mine (build in 23) have 10000+ square foot lots. Actually one apartment complex right next to the Christmas tree lot.

Think SD drivers are bad? Go to LA or SF and then come back and tell we are bad drivers.

I think your friends are the ones that do not know how to operate a bicycle and may need training wheels on them :P
U could be right
But SD is now #1 pedestrian fatality in the nation
The stat calls bikers pedestrians
Just saying
If you think your youth and prowess will keep you safe ER has another story
Personal fable
Its a behavioral science term for youthful poor judgment
1 ton of steel + 1 biker in short shorts = 1 funeral
