My Australian father in law is visiting us in San Diego.

He and his girlfriend are flying from Tijuana to Cuba next week. They intend to catch the trolley or a bus to the border then walk across and catch a cab to the airport.

Do they need a visa to enter Mexico if they have an Australian passport? What is the best way to get to the airport in Tijuana? Cab?

TIA

Responding to the visa part... it doesn't look like it. This is a wikipedia link, but the information is easy to read compared to some of the government sites. Visa requirements for Australian citizens - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The best way to get there is to have a friend drop you off.

But, in case that is not an option, they can get a ride various shuttles. Here is one Transporte Terrestre - TaxisAirport.com - Transporte Terrestre - TaxisAirport.com that does from San Diego to Tijuana Airport.

If they insist on taking the trolley down to San Ysidro, then a cab ride to the airport will be the best way. The trolley ride will be about $5 per person and the Taxi from San Ysidro crossing will be about $6-7 dlls on the white cabs and about $10-$15 on the yellow cabs that are right at the entrance to TJ.
