Which dance clubs / bars in the Gaslamp District can you suggest for a mid 30s/early 40s couple visiting for a few days? Any type of music is fine (just not hip-hop). Maybe some good rooftop places? Good crowd, but not overly packed with people. Low or no cover charge.
I hope this is not too much to ask for
Trip will be end of this week - just looking for some suggestions for places to have fun after all the site-seeing during the days

when i've visited the clubs at the hard rock hotel the DJs were spinning more mash-ups and techno, but there was definitley some hip hop, it's nearly impossible to completely avoid.
