I have had a really bad crown put in that has a black ring around the gum line. Then last year when I lived in utah, a dentist put a crown in that the dental hygenist here commented on saying "Wow, is that a crown or an implant? it is a really awesome job."

I have since had another crown put in - the very back thankfully and it is too dark, too opaque and you can see the black ring around the gum line. I saw the dentist for two seconds and his assitant did all of the rest of the work. It is ok since it is in the back but I have two teeth near the front of my mouth that have large silver fillings I want replaced that may need crowns -

Can anyone recommend a really "artistic" cosmetic dentist around Palm Desert that they know from experience did a good job. I am only replacing them because they are unsightly and don't want to look at a bad job for another 20 years...

Renee Del Acqua - the absolute BEST!!!!!!! I lived in Texas for a short period of time - long enough for a dentist there to screw up one of my front teeth. Fortunately for me, I was previously a patient of Dr. Del Acqua's so she had a bunch of pics of my teeth/smile. She duplicated my screwed up tooth PERFECTLY!!! She and her staff are simply THE BEST - and that's not just in the desert. In my opinion she is the best EVER!!!!!!!!!!

That is the way I felt about the dentist in utah. I am so glad to hear that there is someone here like that. I don't think a lot of people realize how much "art" is involved in the dental process. I am more than willing to pay out of network costs to get the job done right since I will be looking at it for years to come

I paid out of pocket for my work because she's not one of the approved providers on my dental plan, but she is SO worth every penny. I would not go to anybody else for cosmetic work.
