Do you have a DEBIT card at least? Renting a car with cash is almost impossible these days.

If you've got a debit and a decent credit score, you can rent with Hertz. They will do a quick credit check with equifax before the rental. If you pass, they'll complete the agreement. If you're under 25, expect to pay an underage differential (usually around $25/day).

The only rental agency I know of that doesn't credit check and allows debit cards is Enterprise.

Good luck!

Yes, Enterprise will go with debit card, but you need to have enough money in the account that they will consider as a deposit. Not sure how much. It could depend on the size of the car and amount of days.

Yep...Enterprise will go with a debit card. The "deposit" is the cost of the rental for the time you need it. For instance, if you're renting a car for $25 a day for three days, you'll need to have the entire total of $75, plus taxes in your account.

That's what I said about "enough money in the bank to cover the deposit".
Deposit and the actual cost of renting the car per diem are two different things.
Don't understand the request for flight itinerary. You are not going anywhere, just around the town or ~100 mile radius, right?
How many people? Maybe you can get small pick up from U-Haul on better terms?? The only thing about U-Haul is the mileage. I think you have to pay per mile no matter what, but check it out. They might accept plain cash.
Also you can go to the Hertz rent a car location on 281 ( or call them). I rented a car for 5 days to get around the town while my own car was in the paint shop. They didn't ask for a flight ticket (lol) and I paid with a debit card.

I used RENT A WRECK before with a debit, they did not require a "flight itinerary", you might check with them. Of course, you will still need money in the bank
