This was discussed over the summer as
a possible source of relief from allergies , and the topic came up again at work today (it seems like the pollen is flaring up again, it's that time of year for mountain cedar!).
As such, I was wondering if anyone knew of any sources for
locally -produced honey?

As far as I know, there is no proof that honey helps with allergies. Is there some new study out that refutes this?

I buy Fowler's at this little store called Homestead Handcrafts. They only carry it at the one on Blanco (which is a real bi-atch to get to due to roadwork). It is a store that sells crafts, gifts, etc. in a "booth" format and Fowler's has a booth there. I have been trying it as a relief to allergies. I have them bad - allergic to just about anything that grows, year round. So far I really haven't noticed a difference but I only use it in my coffee in the morning. Maybe you have to use more often for it to help.

I've used the local honey from Whole Foods (bulk) for a few years now...I'm not sure if it helps at all.I finally got some Cedar-X this year, and so far - NO CEDAR ALLERGIES. (crosses fingers)
