I am thinking about getting the Sony Ericsson network card for my laptop. I already have T-mobile service, and I'm thinking it might be nice to drop my current ISP. That way I can use my laptop anywhere, and my internet bill will be packaged in with my cell phone.

Does anyone here in San Antonio use this network card, and the T-Mobile internet service, on their laptop? If so, what do you think about the service?

Thanks

Can't say much about T-mobile since I don't use the service, but I have heard from friends that it's very similar to their cell phone coverage.

I just got Sprint's broadband service and I really like it. I love being able to use it anywhere.

T-Mobile service is horrible in the SA area for phones. I'm not sure about the cards, but I'm guessing it's the same. I've got a Verizon card and I have been very pleased.

What I probably need to do is contact T-mobile and see what their upload and download speeds are, and then compare that to what I have now.

I've had T-Mobile for years now, and have had very little trouble with them. Back in my home state the service was spotty. Since moving here it has been great.

Other threads have debated the service between different carriers in depth, so there is no real need to continue it here. We could hear good stuff and bad stuff about all the carriers I'm sure.

I guess I'm mostly curious to see what other T-Mobile customers, who have the internet service, think about the performance on their laptop while surfing the web - compared to say high-speed service at home through Time Warner or whoever.
