I wanted to see Steve Winwood, who opened that show. Live Nation scheduling it on the second day of school just didn't make it feasible for me to go.

I wish I was able to go. I saw him several years back when he opened up the Verizon Amphitheatre. AMAZING show!! I was actually running some promotions at the time, so I was there early and got to hear the sound check. I was one of about 3 people watching it. Very cool experience.

Steve Winwood's new cd (jazz) is pretty fantastic. Do you have that?

I was at that show as well! amazing performance! They keep getting better with age. Me and my sister were thinking the verizon was closing down and having tom petty close them out. We hadn't seen any dates after the tom petty concert till recently, so we assumed he was the opener and closer of the venue.

A bunch of us had lawn seats front and center. It was great! I was there more for Steve Winwood tho. No one paid much attention to him. They wouldnt stop talking behind us. I had seen him 11 years ago in Austin and he was great! Same bunch of us went to see Judas Priest Sunday and I was impressed. My friend and husband are huge fans, she paid big bucks to meet him backstage. We also may go to Mahogany Rush at Cadillac Bar Friday. And off to Vegas Monday for 3 nights. Same friend and my husband are going to Priest show at Palms. And, the good news is there an extra ticket for me. I am exhausted, but in a good way!!!!
