Dear all

I believe that Kirby is the nearest place for BAMC. What is your opinion regarding housing in Kirby? For rent at first & to purchase after couple yrs.

Be careful in that area. There is some that is outside city of San Antonio city limits which puts it under county control. In the past, it was a very neglected area. Not sure I've heard of much changing since I moved. I could be wrong, though.

Kirby is a dumpy area. Mostly industrial, and rented mechanic shops in my experience.

Converse, they are building a ton of houses but to me it isn't an attractive area. I'm sure there is some decent housing but you don't want to be downwind of the city dump or water treatment facility. It really stinks.

I think if I had to pick one or the other it would be Converse, there is a ton of new building going on there.
