Interesting, it looks like the map that's up in the Conservation Society building. Our house is not on the earlier map but is on the 1886 map.

Hmmm, upon closer look that's a different early map. Neat stuff, thanks for posting.

Default Not at all,

Very ho-hum, the library of congress is much better, the 1928 train boiler explosion, flood of 1921 with pics, pictures of local people and conditions during the great depression, pics of the alamo through the ages, the main plaza etc, a spanish street map of s.a. from the 1600's, for planning, the canary islander history with pics and their descendants,skyline paintings of the 1800's, history of the red-light district west of present day nogalitos rd.
along with a directory of the women and taverns(the famous blue book-
only new orleans also had one), street pics of downtown during the 30's
and migrant camps , white and hispanic during the same era.
A wealth of information .
