So, the wife signed us up for a 5K. While not a huge distance to run, it is at my age and general physical condition. Needs some running shoes that "fit" my feet. Anyone recommend a place where the sales person has a good knowledge of running shoes and can fit shoes to my style of running? Appreciate any help. Thanks.

It might be a bit of a drive for you, but Seguin has a shoe business called Vogue Shoes. They’re knowledgeable in all kinds of shoes and are accommodating to people’s different needs. Highly recommend.

iRun. I still drive to the bitters location from Austin to get myself fitted when I need new ones. Fleet feet is also good. Solers in Helotes isn’t bad either but I’m not 100% sure that location is still open since they closed their locations on Jackson Keller and Broadway(right? Or it was down that way).

Welp. Then Fleet Feet and iRun are the two best options.

iRun is where I go and they have great training programs. In May they have a 5K/15K training program that ends with their Texas Too Hot 5K & 15K race at Boerne Lake in July. All paces are welcome in the class so don't worry if you are a slow runner. We have those ... I am one. Friendships formed are great.

Stone Oak store - See Tina
Bitters Store - Pia and Monique
Dominion - Kelly

Any other sales person would be great also but these are the ones I have known for years.

If you go to IRun go in the off hours as they get too busy.
