I love Timbos too, but it's hard to feel to sorry for them when they agreed to go month-to-month on their lease in one of the hottest parts of the city with a landlord who has a certain reputation...only to be shocked they would then lease it to someone on a multi-year basis.

They could seemingly have planned better and relocated if they were getting priced out of that spot.

Too bad.

I'm curious... Who's the jerk landlord?

After butting heads numerous times with James Lifshutz, I like keeping an ongoing list of local developers/owners who have slummy tendencies.

Say does anyone know what's going into the Beall's in the Forum Shopping Center in Liveoak/Selma?
Went past there last week, and they had the door open. First thing i saw was a wall, which had a large rectangular shape cut out of it.Like they might put some sort of glass in it. Was wondering if it's going to be some sort of restaurant like a chinese buffet or what.No signs as to what might be going in there.

I liked 'em. Found my local one closed down today so I went to Taco Cabana nearby.

That's my last visit. Have tried 3 different lunch plates this past couple months on their new menu, all bad.

They were a good chain 20 years ago, even after they took over the superior Two Peso's.

When will we get Buca Di Beppo here? Surprised we don't have any yet. Dallas, Houston, and Austin all have multiple locations. I bet it would do really well here.

It is really no secret that SA almost never the first to get any chain expansion into Texas and is most often the last city to get any chain expansion.

Buca is garbage food in large portions.

San Antonio would probably love it.

Ugh. Was hoping for something good to replace Crabby Jack's on 281, but just found out it will be a Money Mart Pawn

Hopefully the activity in the adjacent former Outback Steakhouse will bring better news...
