The thing that we're missing here in SA are good breakfast places! Besides breakfast tacos, of course!

The Egg & I is pretty good. We used to go to umm... the breakfast place in/near Alamo Heights @ Carousel Court (?). They have one other location up in/near the Stone Oak area, iirc. The Magnolia Pancake house is great but it's always so hard to get in and I always feel rushed there because they are so freakin' busy all weekend.

I don't want Denny's, IHOP, McDonalds, etc... suggestions??
Waffle House.. kidding, it's a greasy spoon and there are actually none around here. You like Cracker Barrel? I like that once in a while.

The reviews left on SC's blog are pretty disheartening. Yeah, I like the name, too, and really want to support a local business, but not if it is going to make me hurl. I need to give them a couple of weeks and then go have a look-see.

Sorry, been there several times. Fish is fresh and well prepared. Wife's favorite. Veal chop with cream sauce and peppercorns is to die for. My favorite.

Deserts are worth saving room for. My favorite is mascarpone with fresh fruit.
