Yes, that's how I found out about it. I was at the one at Nac/NB and they had a sign up in the restaurant.

The sign outside that location says: "Milano Risorante Italiano". I always assumed it was affiliated, since it has the same name.

Default King's Court Frankfurter Express Closed?!?

It's been a while since we've been there, but King's Court Frankfurter Express has always been one of our favorite places to eat near the zoo/Brackenridge Park area.

However, I just noticed that Yelp is claiming it's closed!

A quick call revealed that their phone number (737-7774) is no longer in service.

This is heartbreaking, anyone know what happened?!?

Cheers! M2

Not sure exactly what happened, but I noticed that the son of the owner--who perhaps was also an owner--was acting very "erratically" at times. I won't say anything more, but I sense that perhaps that had something to do with it.

It was never too packed, but there always seemed to be people. I loved that place.

By the way, the home brew supply from right around the block is moving in there. Not only do they sell all the goods you need to make your own, but they have a few interesting things on tap, and it's quite a nice little place to grab a beer after work and hang out with interesting folks. Definitely not a "bar" atmosphere.

I will echo June's observation. Each of the few times I had been there over the past year, the son exhibited "odd, high-strung" behavior, not conducive to a successful business endeavor.

Sad. It had tremendous potential.

Dang, that's too bad; we always loved that place! It's a loss to that area...

It's been closed since at least October. I might have overlooked it and forgot to post it in the restaurant openings/closing thread.

I checked that thread and there was no mention of it...

Still, thanks for the (sad) news.

that is a huge bummer. I loved them! Is the Chicago dog place downtown still in business, I wonder...?
