Painfully slow website. I would be much more excited about this if it weren't "upscale." I find few "upscale" Mexican restaurants to be worthwhile. I'll keep dreaming of 100% Taquito out of Houston.

Also, huge news (for me at least), a CHIC-FIL-A is going up next to Walmart! We haven't had one near since Winsor Park closed, I am very pleased. I hope it has one of the larger playplaces
Sweet thanks for the info.

I've only been to the Urban Taco at DFW. It was ehh, but since it was an airport location, maybe it wasn't the best representation of their product. I will probably give them another try once they open at the Quarry.

Bush's Chicken is going in right next to Freddy's on Potranco and 151. I'm excited about this, because #1: it's a Texas chain #2: they serve corn on the cob and #3 I have been missing good fried chicken since we left Houston!

Any idea on when it opens?

Bush's has 2 stores in Converse. Checked out the 1st one, on FM 78, a couple of times when it opened & wasn't impressed. The chicken has very little flavor.

Texas Hen: Didn't know Bush's had other S.A. locations. I went to the Bush's website and saw the Converse locations and also one in Castroville. When I first visited the website, I went straight to the San Antonio locations and saw a Bandera and Potranco location were coming soon and thought those were the 1st two stores. Thanks!

I think the one in Castroville is located inside a gas station, if I remember correctly. Or IIRC if you prefer.

Oh! Me too! This was one of my faves in H-town. Right down the street!

Nope--but they have the framing up! So hopefully by July.

We used to go to Ennis 3-4 times a month for a few months when my husband's grandma was sick. If we timed it right, we'd eat in Corsicana at Bush's Chicken. We really liked it! I realize everyone is different though--but I dislike Bill Miller's immensely, and I love Popeye's. Bush's is not seasoned as heavily as Popeye's, but it tastes like good homemade deep-fried chicken to me.
