Ok, so one thing I miss about the small town in Georgia would be the unique gift shops. Is there anything like that ...that's fairly close to 1604 and Potranco area? Something with stationary, candles, potpourri, holiday goodies etc???

I don't know of any near 1604 and Potranco, but there is a cute gift botique off Stone Oak Parkway and Huebner named Janie Christine's. They also sell flavored herbal teas there as well. The owner is very nice.

Bracken Village does look pretty neat. About 35 miles from where I am. Would like to check it out sometime. Still want to find something closer.

We do need something like there here at Potranco/1604! I wish something like that would open in Maddisons market! I love local business type of stuff rather than all chains.

Madisons Market is right behind where I live. I am hoping some neat stuff opens there too. Right now all I see is a sign for "ez loan" ......

I'll bet that there are places like that to be found at Artisan's Alley.

Artisans Alley - Best

I'm not sure if this will fit your bill, but we found a place on Fred Rd called Queen's Cottage. It is probably closer to you than Artisnas Alley or Bracken Village. It is like a gift shop, diner and pharmacy all in one. My report is here.
