Okay here is the deal.....DH and I both work in the Medical Center. We have been renting a condo in the Medical Center area and our lease will be up shortly. We have a dog and a 2 yr old and want to rent a house for the yard. We are wanting to find a house that is either a 3br 2ba w/ 2 living areas (game room or loft would work) or a 4br. However we don't want to spend more than $1200 per month. I have been looking in 78240, 78249 and have gone through a couple, but nothing has stood out. Also we have seen a lot of subdivisions look like they are going down hill. I see that there are lots of rentals further south on the west side closer to Sea World, but I'm concerned about the commute. I really don't want much more than a 25-30 minute commute. We would buy, but living where we have so far has not really allowed us to decide where we want to live for sure. We figured we would rent for another year or so and see if we like the area we rent in.

During rush hour? I'm no expert but I have taken that drive a few times before just not specifically from Sea World to the Medical Center but from that general area to that general area. I'd say it's a normal 15 minute commute and during rush hour it'd be anywhere from 25-35 minutes.
