Does anyone know of a CrossFit box located either downtown or on the southside (preferably I-35/SW Military area)? Everything I've found online is from Alamo Heights clear on up to Stone Oak. I'd prefer something I can get to by bicycle. Thanks!

crossfitmbs came up with a Google search. My first suggestion was going to be "Blue Star Crossfit." But turns out they aren't actually anywhere near Blue Star; but instead they are near Windcrest.

There is one by Sunset Station, just east of I-37 around Houston St area (not sure exact Street, I see it from the highway all the time). The next closest I know of is on Lower Broadway, just north of the Pearl.

MBS Crossfit. It's on South Alamo, in the St Benedict's development. You can see their pull-up bars outside the facility, even though the street is completely torn up from the upgrades happening to the sewer system in the neighborhood.

I've also seen a couple of new crossfit places on Broadway, closer to the Pearl area.

Thank you! I had thought I'd seen a place close to the Pearl, but couldn't remember the name. I guess my Google search wasn't specific enough.

The one I'm thinking of near the Pearl is near the entrance to the golf course, just north of Millrace, by the Sports Bar there on Broadway.

I'll have to take a ride by there the next time I'm in town. The box I thought I'd seen at the Pearl was somewhere around the Can Plant (I think). Either way, for drop-in purposes, the South Alamo location is a good start.

It's not far from the Can Plant (less than a mile). The one near Sunset Station is also not far from the Pearl, but south and a bit east (other side of the highway). I go down Broadway often and don't think I've seen one closer, but I may have missed it.

Thanks for the leads! I also found Lackland Crossfit. A bit west, but doable.
