I took a shortcut through Hollywood Park the other day and chuckled when I passed Garrapata Lane. I'd be embarrassed to live on "tick lane" and thought it must surely have some other significance. Sure enough a Google search turned up a little known region of Spain. At least I hope that's what they named it after. Anyway, a city this size must have a bunch of other funny ones. Post your own!

I like the "movie star" neighborhood. It has street names like Desilu, Alan Hale, and Danny Kaye. I think there's also a Prentiss and Cary Grant - there's lots of them in that 'hood!

On the east side, off of Burleson, is a street named: "Can't Stop."

When I used to dispatch 911 years ago, I sent Leon Springs VFD to investigate an odor of gas on "Sweet Wind Circle"

I also dispatched Bexar-Bulverde VFD to assist EMS for an ob/gyn call on "Lame Beaver"

Also in Bexar-Bulverde's area is a street called "shinnecock" which I have heard broadcast as "shiney c*ck."

On the northwest side is a street called "Wickahoney"

...and I am only getting started.... more to follow.

There's a street called "Just My Style." I forgot which side of town it's on.

they were too busy spending tax payer money to change historic street names to catch this one.

I was about to mention Can't Stop! That's about the cutest street name I've ever seen.

In the 1604 & Redland area there is a street called Pinto Pony Lane. That is such an odd name. Another street in the neighborhood is Ponytail.

In the North Central area there is a street called Baltic. My brother jokes about it being like the monopoly game because the housing is cheap. The next street over is called Belair and it's nothing like the Belair area in Cali.

There's a Happy Trail street in Shavano Park. And Kissing Oak over near 1604 and Judson.
