My husband and I are thinking about finding a place in San Antonio. We are in our mid 50's and may still spend part of the year (summers) in Wisconsin. We are not interested in apartments. A private home, a side by side, or even a condo might work. We are planning to visit sometime in the next few months and check things out. If anyone has any ideas about active retirement areas please make a suggestion. Thanks!

I have heard about the Reflections in the heights of Stone Oak. I believe they are garden homes and the builder is Sitterle Homes add a dot com and you are there. Sorry not really good in this area cause I have two small boys! Also Oakwell farms on the Northeast side. I have an older neighbor that is a real estate agent and she has done some home for older active couples if you send me a private message I can get ya her info. I know she would be happy to help.

Try the new Active Adult Community built by Pulte Homes in Alamo Ranch. It is very nice and will have a 28,000 SF club house. Prices start around $185K.

Del Webb is opening a brand new retirement community in San Antonio. I believe it's called Hill Country Retreat. If you go to the Del Webb website you'll find it easily. I think they literally just opened in the last few months. Good luck!
