I am ready to ditch TWC for the rate increases, but wondering what might be the best to consider for the Alamo Ranch area. KNOW that depending on where you live one might be better than the other, but anyone that can give any input on what is GREAT in the AR area would appreciate input.

Our daughter LOVES UVerse, but lives in the Randolph area....CABLE and TV are a must...phone, not so much...but kinda like keeping our old number just because so many have it.

Thanks for input!

We have DirecTV and really like it. The only *downside* to me is the dish on your house. But once I'm inside, I don't see it.

If you guys are football fans, now is the time to sign with them since you get NFL Ticket free for a year.

Honestly, we've never had one single issue with our service since we started with them last year. We left TW due to rates, as well, but now since our rebate period has ended, we're back up to just under what we were paying with TW....but it's OK. We tried going without cable for 2 months and it was not pretty. It's not so much that we watch much TV, but when we want to watch TV, we want it to be there.

We did keep TW for internet. Not sure if AT&T beats TW in quality or price but they beat the snot out of Clear and we learned our lesson on that. Roadrunner is great.

*ETA.....when we move to Dallas, we just make one phone call and the dish gets moved, free of charge.

Can you get Grande where your at. They're cheaper than TWC and not nearly as pushy.

Grande's availability in San Antonio is mostly inside Loop 410 north of downtown, and some limited areas outside 410 on the north side. I think their expansion in San Antonio has been stalled for several years.
