Hello,

I heard that if a child moves out of the NEISD to another district and wants to continue to go to the school in NEISD, the child will be required to pay a fee. Does anyone know what this fee is called and any other information regarding this; any experiences?

Most likely, it would be out of district tuition, much like what they charge out of district students during summer school and those who attend NESA from out of district. I would check with pupil personnel first regarding attendance eligibility,

AFAIK the only NEISD schools that accept out-of-district students are the magnet schools. The only reference I could find online to the amount was at NESA, the arts magnet, where tuition is around $6,000/year for out-of-district students, according to HELP SAVE NESA | Facebook

Thanks for the replies

Well this involves Krueger, which is a magnet school. The child may move in 8th grade, and she wants to continue to go to the school. I guess I'll call around next week. I just wanted to know what this fee may be called and any experiences. I was told by someone that the fee used to be $25, but the person didn't know the specifics and which school the fee applied to.

If you call and ask them, you should ask in a general way, not about your specific child. Then if they won't let her keep going, you can decide whether or not you're morally obligated to tell them that you've moved.
