So now that I have decided to put the skis up for the season, I am on the hunt for new patio furniture. Specifically, a dining set. I have been to all of the usual suspects such as, Smiths, Home Depot, Lowes etc. I really am looking for something that would be a step or 4 above those but not in the price league of Leisure Living. Love the stuff at LL and back in the day we found a great set that happened to be on clearance-no such luck there this spring. Do any of my fellow CD friends have a suggestion for me-of course, I want to touch it and sit in the chairs before I pull the trigger-or I would do the internet thing.
Thanks and Happy Spring

Have you checked the Draper Deseret Industries? I hear they get some very good stuff. Personally, I just bit the bullet and got mine from LL. It will last longer than I will!

You must have had to take out a second mortgage! That place's prices are out of sight!

R.C. Willey has a outdoor furniture section. I've found some pretty decent stuff there before.

Thanks Katz, I had forgotten about them
Belle, keep me in mind and you will about your patio furniture! What did you end up with from LL? We got a really nice Brown Jordan metal set that is still in pretty good shape for being 17 years old. I kind of want wood but am not sure about all of the upkeep etc..

I got their cheapest, cast aluminum, beige in color. I only got the table and 8 chairs. Then later, I went back and got 4 black side chairs to scatter around the patio for more informal seating.

I need to proofread better before I post! I meant to say to Belle, keep me in mind and in your will about your patio set!
Anyway, I am off to look at TJ Maxx in a while also and Costco for some more choices.
Thanks for the responses...

We own a home in Utah, and are in the process of furnishing it..and we ordered all our patio furniture from Pottery Barn after checking a ton of local stores in Utah and not finding anything we liked.

I am headed to Pb and Restoration Hardware this morning. I went to RC Willey and was stunned at the high price and poor quality-made LL look like a better deal! TJ Maxx had nothing yet..Anyone been to Warburtons in Lehi? I found a lil bit of info on the web and was thinking bout a trip south to their shop.

I found a place that made Leisure Living look like a great deal! Ward&Child at 7th and 7th. Wow what a fantastic store with really beautiful things-but the prices were painful. We did end up getting a couple of pots for the patio-but furniture wise, we went with LL. The teak stuff was discounted, delivery and set up for free-plus buying local made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside-til the bill comes! All kidding aside, I was happy with the customer service and attention to detail. I am finding that the only good thing about the economy being in the tank is customer service is getting better!
