I noticed that Folsom school buses say Folsom Cordova district on them. Does that mean Rancho Cordova has merged into Folsom now?

Folsom Cordova has been a single school district , it isn't something new. I don't have kids in the schools, but it seems to me the budget and administration are shared, but the kids all attend their own local schools.

Realtors prefer to talk in vague generalities about school districts rather than test scores at individual schools because attendance boundaries at individual schools can vary year to year and even when the attendance boundary doesn't change, overcrowding at new schools can mean that a student won't attend a specific school. To avoid getting sued for making statements that are no longer correct when the buyer moves in, what realtors will tend to suggest is that you as a concerned parent should contact the local school district office for information on specific school attendance zones and even local school scores.

But when you look at the school test scores, what you notice is that variance among test scores in a specific district is generally larger than the variance in test scores between school districts. In short this claim that the schools in the Folsom Cordova District, the San Juan District or the Elk Grove district are really good is bogus. There are some schools in those districts that are good, some that are average and usually some that are pretty crappy - buyer beware.
