Did anyone else think that it was particularly humid today? It seems like it has been getting increasingly humid in the past few years. I can't possibly be alone on this, even my mom said it was pretty muggy this afternoon.

I can't really make a direct correlation with 100% accuracy, but even the machine tool lab at Modesto Junior College was having some serious rust problems with equipment during summer. It just doesn't seem to make sense unless the air was getting wetter.

The unusual cloud cover, combined with summer sun, has given Sacramento an the San Joaquin region a Midwest or Southern feel for now. But normally it is a dry heat.

Seems like there have been more clouds in summer in California the last few years. Might be related to more tropic moisture working up from the south. The Arizona monsoon has been pretty solid the last few years, and perhaps a bit is spilling over into California.

The temps and humidity remind me of SoCal in summer, which typically gets tropical/monsoonal moisture but usually not until July.
