Hey Rochestarians,
For those of you with AT&T cell phones...

1) Which cell phone do you have?

2) Whereabouts do you live and work, and how is your coverage in those areas??

I am with Verizon right now - great coverage overall everywhere I go, but I reeeeally want to switch to an IPhone ... but if the coverage isn't great out here (dropped calls, etc) then I may just stick to Verizon and get a BlackBerry when I am eligible to upgrade.

Thanks for the info!!!

1) Blackjack w/ the same data plan that you would get on the iPhone

2) Irondequoit & Downtown.

Coverage has been great in the city of Rochester, typically on the 3G network. The one time I went down to Honeoyoe Falls (sp?) I had no service.

Quite a few of my friends have iPhones... just switch and get one. You won't look back.

Verizon's network is better many times over. It basically comes down to how much you want an iPhone, because the network definitely suffers. Like any major city, the coverage should be reliable in the inner suburbs and city, but going down the highway or into the outer suburbs you will notice the difference.
