In Jul I'm looking to take my wife somewhere for our anniversery. Where would be some nice romantic places to go? I'm looking anywhere up to about 5 hours away from Roanoke...might be willing to do 6 hours for a REALLY nice/cool place.

Looking for a place to have a nice romantic dinner and place to stay.

Thanks!

Do you like a resort destination like the Homestead, Greenbrier, a small bed and breadfast place like the Inn at Little Washington in NoVa, a mountain location like the Grove Park Inn in Asheville(which has a delightful spa), The Tides Inn at Irvington VA, an award winning resort near the ocean, the NC /SC coastal area with many beach resorts and great seafood. If you like the City, stay at the Ritz Carlton Georgetown in DC. or many other cool places in DC.

How about staying closer and doing the whole Peaks of Otter winery & hotel thing?

I'll look into those places. I have kinda been thinking about the Outer Banks, as we are doing Gatlinburg in June. Maybe a beach location would be a nice change of pace.

Thanks for the tips so far
