We'll be traveling to Richmond to see if we want to relocate to the area... with a 6 year old and a 21-month old.

We don't mind spending the money for the hotels like Omni, Berkley, Hilton or Marriott... but we were hoping to find a place that had a layout of a living area with small kitchen with two bedrooms... instead of just two adjacent hotel rooms.

We're staying for 8 nights so we really want to be comfortable but still be able to take quick walks around in-town neighborhoods from the hotel door.

Does this exist?

Once we stayed in Boston in a Marriott Residence Inn that was set up like that right on the harbor in the city. But the only Marriott Residence Inns in Richmond are more in the west end short pump area and we would have to get in the car to get a feel for the city. And we plan to maybe live in one of the city neighborhoods so it's kind of important.

Thanks for any help!!!!

Well if money is not an issue i would suggest the Jefferson Hotel. A TRUE 5 STAR HOTEL. Its very classy and the rooms are huge. BUT for 8 nights it can get expensive and if you dont wanna go that route i would also suggest the doubletree hotel either downtown richmond or the one by the richmond airport. And try to get the presidential suite.

The downtown Omni has some suites available that might work.
