What's a good short boat trip in Newport? (Providence: ferry, shuttle)

Looking for a short (1/2 hr to hour 1/2) boat cruise of Newport harbor that's not too expensive. I've got guests coming and looking to see Newport from the water. Anybody take one recently they'd recommend?

Hmm, I know there are actual harbor tours, but you could always just take the ferry from Providence to Newport (like 8 bucks each way I think), it gives you a great view of not only Newport but the whole bay.

there are Newport Harbor tours. There has been in the past a short shuttle to Ft Adams that takes you past all the boats you need to see.

the Prov-Newport ferry now has a $3 fuel surcharge
