Hi everybody,

We have a bag of 20 pound rice that we want to donate to a food bank, soup kitchen or something like that. Do you know of any facility that accepts something like that?

McAuley House off Elmwood Av. would be my choice. They feed about 300 homeless and impoverished at least once a day.

On this late but a lot of towns have food banks, too. We collected several tons for out towns foodbank this Fall... Google should hook you up........

And if it's ok to add, don't forget our little furry friends...

Most shelters are so thankful for any donation - be it blankets and comforters, pillows, food bowls, and of course food. Any time I change out my comforter, I save it 'til I can get to a shelter in need.
