So, I went to RISD, and what RISD have are Sunday night The Simpsons night. Seth, going through this, came out, thought "why not create a Modern Simpsons Family?".

Next thing you know, he starts to pick people from RISD to make his characters.

Peter - Security guard at the Freshman Dorm. He use to come out every often to smoke his cigarettes. White shirt, black tie, black pants.

Actually, that's all I care to remember or think about where he got most of his characters. But, Peter is definitely the Freshman dorm security guard. If he denies it, he is a lying, ugly, filthy rich bastard.

MacFarlane resided in Providence during his time as a student at Rhode Island School of Design and the town is modeled after Cranston which is a bordering city of Providence. Cranston is most certainly not the best town in the state and a subpar school district but its not the worse. Mr Putershmit (Louis's farther) is from Newport.

Cranston is really two cities. If you live in Western Cranston, it's a completely different experience than if you live in Eastern Cranston. (Although Pawtuxet Village is an exception to this rule.) Generally, anything starting at Garden City and west thereof is desirable.
