Well, in my driveway it’s a mess if you don’t clean it promptly. If you leave it, it may melt a bit before re-freezing making it even more of a mess. This last snow was even tougher here because it was wet, and then froze solid. The snow blowers couldn’t dig in to get it off the pavement. I had to use a ccr paddle blower to get it down to the last quarter inch and then douse it heavily with ice melt.
The main thing is to keep it safe to walk on. People do what they can, of course, but I wouldn’t want someone to get hurt, and I wouldn’t want to get sued for not trying.
