There’s still sweeping. I just want a vacuum to suction all the hair on the floor. I don’t want to get out a big vacuum, too much work.
I have hard floors and two dogs that shed year round. The hair tends to gather by the walls, so I can just pick it up in big wads, with my hand. It's easier than getting out the vacuum and doesn't fill up the bag so fast.

We bought ourselves a robot vacuum for christmas. It runs for about an hour per charge, and even cleans under the bed and couches. We're in the desert, with lots of dust and pebbles. We run "Robbie" once a day, and the collection container now gets about half full each time.
He does get stuck sometimes -- bath rugs are a problem --, so we only run it when we're home.
I hate the sound of a regular vacuum --my mom used to "angry clean"-- but this one is pretty quiet.
