Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin star in this geriatric buddy comedy/drama. There are lots of familiar faces here, including Nancy Travis, who with "The Kominsky Method" is now starring in two concurrent series ("Last Man Standing").
Douglas plays a faded star turned acting coach and Arkin is his longtime agent.
I sort of binge watched it over a few days; multiple episodes at a time over the course of about 3 "sessions". It is a series with the feel of a movie with lots of intermissions. Lots of things span episodes; you pretty much have to watch it in order and frequently enough to remember some minor details. There is a lot of humor you don't need backstory for and a single episode would still be enjoyable, but I think it is better as a single work than it is in parts.

Yes, one episode ends at a funeral and the next one picks up where it left off.
All in all, there's a little too much emphasis on bathroom functions for me but this show is written by guys, so I get it. And I don't mind it that much.
The scene where Sandy and Norman are trying to do kegels is hilarious.

Possible TMI about the bathroom issues...
Spoiler
I went through pretty much the whole series of steps. It does make you think a lot about aging and mortality. Waiting for a biopsy report didn't just make me a little anxious; i was terrified. The TMI is that while they did spend a fair amount of time on it, that was actually the condensed version. There were accidents at times in situations where it is incredibly embarrassing. There were times when having to say "no, I mean right now" was almost as embarrassing as the accidents, especially in a professional setting. The bleeding is not particularly humorous. Carrying spare pants and underwear is a pain and also embarrassing. One of the worst parts is wondering if the rest of your life is going to be like this. The drugs are not 100% effective.
