About once a month, Walgreens offers a senior (55+) discount day wherein all of their in-house brands are offered at a 20% discount and everything else is 15% off (although discount doesn't apply to Rx, liquor, tobacco and dairy). And these discounts are in addition to their sales prices as well. So even if they have a BOGO sale, you'll still get an additional 15%/20% off the one item you pay for. It's a pretty good deal.

Great we need to stock up on a few things like toothpaste. I'll bring my price list and see if Walgreens can beat Costco--if so, my dentist will be happy to know I'm getting a year's supply.

Is this going to be every month? From what I see it seems it was only one day.

I like Walgreens much better than CVS. You can get great deals any day esp in things like cotton underwear (like 3 men's quality cotton t-shirts for $10, or cotton underpants for a good price). Also, if you're into soaking in epsom salts, theirs is less $ than anywhere else I found. Their cosmetics section is really well organized, much better than CVS. It's always cool to shop there.

At our local Walgreen's this is every Friday. However, it only applies to Walgreen's brand merchandise or the NICE brand products.
You also have to watch at the register because it doesn't always get applied.

Yes, I had to tell the cashier. It was a nice little savings.
