I the late 70's my wife and I considered an AMC Gremlin for her. We ended up buying a Toyota Celica GT Liftback for her. She loved that car. Kept it for about 10 years then gave it to our son who totaled it a few years later.

Did AMC play around with what they knew would happen in many cases thanks to that fold down flat front seat?
My Grandpa's last car was a 1959 Rambler Custom 4 dr sedan. It was almost identical to the Rebel and the Six, and a step below the Ambassador, Rambler's flagship sedan. My first car was a 1966 Rambler American, one of the better looking compact cars in the mid-1960s.
