Personally, my general impression of Saturn is that it has a reliability rating that is best avoided. There are plenty of much more reliable and long-lasting cars in that class.

I know someone who has one and uses it for autocross (apparently it is very good for that) and his only complaint over the years has been the top.

Long term parts availability would be a concern for me since Saturn is no more. That and their reliability record was obviously not good enough to keep them from being axed as a brand.

O Wow! Reliability isn't the best. So what other vehicles in that class do you recommend?...the price of the vehicle is open (just not on the luxury side) and I would do further research on it

Do you think the same applies to Pontiac?

Funny, I thought Saturns were always reliable.

Go on craigslist, you always see mid and late 90s saturns still on the road.

The engine is the Ecotec, one of GMs most used engines, from cobalt to malibu, cruze, colorodo, equinox and more.

Proven reliable.

It is based off of the Opel GT, which has been around for awhile. Several saturns hold their value. LOL find me a cheap 2008+ Saturn Vue or outlook for dirt cheap.

I haven't heard any problems. I would admit the Miata, will have a bigger aftermarket because its the leader of the "class"

But I think the Sky is by far the best looking in that class.

I have an 07 Pontiac and have had no issues. The myth of "no parts" is bull****. People love to freak out about this crap. Whatever all it does is make good cars for a cheaper price.

BTW, as for Pontiac/Saturn and whatever manufacturer that went under.

Manufactuer disapearing does not mean a bad product. Just means its not a product that sells well at a profitable value.

Hell technically it could be the most over engineered reliable vehicle in the world that was so over built the vehiclse are amazing.
