Wouldn't they need the proper equipment to move it? It's not like they are on wheels.

MissNM,

Thats exactly what I was thinking! I was wondering if there was proprietary mechanism which can only move them. This would certainly deter would be movers from removing it from its spot.

Obviously discounting a massive truck that may pick up improperly and damaging the thing.

OP see my post int he General Moving Forum.

These "pod type" units can be loaded and hauled on a standard flatbed tow truck, so towing them are easier than a standard ocean container.
