Will it be hard for me to rent another apartment in Dallas with two broken lease agreement? Can you buy a Co-signer? I have paid both leases off but a couple of years AFTER it went on my credit report. I couldn't find a a decent job when the recession first hit. I was in a two bedroom and then I down graded to a one bedroom but still couldn't pay so I moved back to the state I was from 8 months later. Now I am ready to try it again in Dallas. But what am I up against?????

Your up against all tenants with no lease breakings on their record...

If you watch the judge shows, you can see all kinds of people who are stupid enough to sign for other people and end up in court later on...

You probably won't pass anyone who uses a rent check system. Try private landlords and offer a substantial security deposit (3 months is good - that will keep you roughly 4 months paid ahead on your rent). Maybe try to find a room to rent in a private home. Not the best, but you can save money and rebuild your rental history.

This is a great time to buy a house. Rent a room, save your money, buy a house or condo. But there's no lease breaking then...

PS - don't sign a lease this time, go m2m.
