I feel so sad about this lady for losing her job, at a time like this. But I am more angry with her employer, who insisted on shipping the dog to that owner, who is obviously, abusing it.

I have placed this article all over FACEBOOK, WORLWIDE!!!!!, and this is going to be seen by the whole world. Shame on Reno-Tahoe International Airport.......I have been there twice........remind me never to set foot on it again!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know that there is an alternative to the Reno airport, but sadly, abuse on animals happens every day. The way to help that is to donate to causes, adopt from shelters, fix your animals and not buy breeded animals.

In a world of increasing government contracting, the folks who fired her are a private contractor and not the airport authority. It's like that Blackwater deal where the dudes shot and killed civilians. The US government was limited in what it could do to Blackwater contractually. Blackwater had to do an internal investigation, and gee, guess what, they found no wrongdoing. So this baggage handling contractor will do the same. Gee, nothing was done wrong, and she was fired for disobeying instructions. Then the airport authority will go, oh, so let's just not renew your contract, but if you change your name, you can rebid and we may renew your contract. So BLackwater became Xe and got to rebid and win another contract in Iraq although a contract stipulation was added: Section F675-n-487fh Paragraph 7 "Don't kill civilians just because they are in close proximity to an attack on your convoy. You will be fined $200 per civilian loss of life and $50 for serious injuries. If there is press coverage of the incident, the fine increases to $250 and $100 respectively." This lady is awesome though, because she let her conscience do the talking and most workers, especially in this economy, would turn their back and let a dog die. Don't boycott our airport! That baggage handling contractor may be working in your airport too!

Right. And the baggage handlers aren't usually contracted through the airport, but the airline. However, if I remember correctly, the airline in question isn't mentioned.

She's been rehired and commended by the owner of the company in question for her integrity.
Her boss on the other hand ....
