We MUST believe????? How do you go about forcing someone to believe something? Especially if their common sense tells them something else.

That is an incredibly stupid statement. I especially like the last sentence where she eloquently explains how even though an atheist may have never actually committed a crime but is nevertheless responsible for rampant crime in our nation. I guess she forgot to check out crime statistics from state and federal organizations which state that crimes have been dropping since the early seventies and I don't think our prisons are filled with hate mongering atheists, they're mostly filled with people who claim to be religious. Unfortunately there are probably millions of Americans who would completely agree with her.

When I worked as a corrections officer, I found it qutie funny how so many of the inmates would find religion after they were put in prison. LMAO everytime, what a joke.

Agreed. She doesn't represent the views of this Christian. Not by a long shot.

Disagree. Look how much damage man has done to 'religion'. It was ignorance and hatred that nearly wiped out the 'Native Americans'. People have been hiding behind religion since the beginning of time. It doesn't make religion corrupt. It makes man corrupt. Btw, my heritage is First Nations (Native American/Canadian Indian) and I've never blamed religion. Just ignorant, greedy men.

It's like a drowning man asking for a line--a life saver. It's usually what takes for most of us to realize when we're lost, for those of us who aren't believers to seek; being at our lowest. After all, as they say, it's always darkest before the dawn. It happened to me after my husband left me with two little ones and we had no place to go but a ratty old shelter. Two months in there turned me around and 20 years later, my Faith--Christianity--is the only thing, throughout my entire life prior, I've ever stuck with. There are worse things to turn to.
