The Rev. Paul Earl Sheppard had recently become the senior pastor of a suburban church in California when a group of parishioners came to him with a disturbing personal question.

They were worried because the racial makeup of their small church was changing. They warned Sheppard that the church's newest members would try to seize control because members of their race were inherently aggressive.

Default Christians, you gotta love em.

Silly isn't it that people can't even come together to worship the same God if they aren't all the same color. Obviously, some of those people aren't at church to do what the lord would will them to do. Can't they all bask in the glory of their God together as a family. Because that's what they are, no matter what social differences they may have. I think its a shame this is even an issue. Just doesn't seem to represent the true Christian attitude now does it.

It's a shame but many people tend to self segregate by their racial group, not just in churches, but also in schools. Even when there's a fairly equal mix of black and white kids in a school you always notice that the majority of the white kids hang out together and so do the black kids. As far as churches are concerned black churches have a long tradition of involving music and vocals at their services that are alot more hip than the dull organ music I remember in church as a child. I guess I can see why these traditions might clash but I really don't see it as a racist thing.
