The book of Revelation - Spinoff
I am just a little befuddled by the idea that for centuries great theologians have confused and fought themselves over the Book of Revelation. At one point the book was not even included in some canons and others took a low view of it. However, today, and even on this message board, I see people rattling off interpretation after interpretation of this VERY confusing and symbolic book as if God channeled it down to them verbatim. The result? All kinds of wild, contradicting, confusing conclusions.
yydanay515: The book of Revelation was written from the Lord through John in a way to hide things in the future from most persons that have ever read the book in the past, present and in the future whether the person is jewish or a Gentile as most persons that reach a age of accountability to the lord are never saved. Most persons that the real living person Jesus spoke to sometimes in parables never figured out what he meant by them as the meaning of the parables was hidden from them so they would receive a less punishment for there crimes.
Some day you may want to pick up the Christain book: Revelation four views, A parallel commentary. Edited by Steven Gregg. Foreword by Dr. Robert Clouse. Hardback. 1997. $32.99
The book covers the four main Christain interruptions of the book of Revelations today that are: Historicist, Preterist, Futurist, and Spiritual camps of thought of interrupting this inspired last book in the second testament.
I believe the book of Revelation is inspired and was wrote by a heavily burned John in the years 94/95 A.D.
