If there WAS a god, he would be both good and evil, which would explain the evil in the world and why he tolerates it.
Perhaps he is at war with himself, why he killed his own son, which makes how he would feel about us much worse.
Hence the eternal guilt trip about our killing Jesus.

God have the answer in the quran

178 - Let not the unbelievers think that our respite to them is good for themselves: we grant them respite that they may grow in their iniquity: but they will have a shameful punishment

179 - God will not leave the believers in the state in which ye are now, until he separates what is evil from what is good. nor will he disclose to you the secrets of the unseen. but he chooses of his apostles (for the purpose) whom he pleases. so believe in God and his apostles: and if ye believe and do right, ye have a reward without measure.

so it isn't tolerance from God with evil , but this life is for test , and every one act evil deeds will be punished .
and related to amount of your evil , punishment will be
so God tolerance with evil in this life , for harder punishment in hereafter

another respond from quran

035.045

If God were to punish men according to what they deserve. He would not leave on the back of the (earth) a single living creature: but He gives them respite for a stated Term: when their Term expires, verily God has in His sight all His Servants.
[3:140-142]
"If misfortune touches you [know that] similar misfortune has touched [other] people as well; for it is by turns that We apportion unto men such days [of fortune and misfortune]: and [this] to the end that God might mark out those who have attained to faith, and choose from among you such as [with their lives] bear witness to the truth - since God does not love evildoers - and that God might render pure of all dross those who have attained to faith, and bring to nought those who deny the truth. Do you think that you could enter Paradise unless God takes cognizance of your having striven hard [in His cause], and takes cognizance of your being patient in adversity?" [3:140-142]

Where is Matrx (the C-D poster) on this one. Satan, Lucifer, Venus- by what ever name you call him/her is the evil. Why is wishing on a star seen as bad by some people? Most people wish on The Morning Star or the "...first star I see tonight..which is actually Venus(another name for Lucifer). Was the devil a woman? I don't know. But it would explain the mistreatment of many women from many religeous schools of thought.

God is good. "There is none good save God".

Isaiah 5:20": Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"

The evil in the world is explained by Adam and Eve sinning.

God did not kill his Son. Jesus was crucified by the Romans.

Why do you feel guilty that Jesus was killed?

God tolerates it because He gave man authority over this world, and He will not break His word.

You need not feel guilt about killing Jesus. He gave himself as a sacrifice.

Without good there can be no evil and without evil there can be no good.
Loving someone means that they are free to choose (to stay with you or to go).

God has no form, and has no stain either, he is absolute peace and bliss, he is infinite and 100% self suficient, his triple nature is composed of Existence, Consciousness and Bliss, but in order for creation to be expressed God had to create relativity and apply it to his own infinite self, thus dividing the one into many, although relatively only because we all come from God and are God dreaming an individualized and personalized experience, this is possible because of Ego, which is the sense of individuality that every living being has.

When relativity was applied and creation was manifested the supreme essence of spirit was thus apparently divided in opposites such as night/day, male/female, good/evil

This is possible by the power of Maya, which is the cosmic delusion on a macroscopic level and has the power of repulsion this magnetic power keeps attracting sentient beings and driving them away from spirit, which has the power of attraction, and attracts what came from spirit back to it.

On a microscopic level Ego is the basic concept which individualizes God in each one of us and makes him identify with a limited and mortal existence thus creating the microscopic illusion or ayvidya (ignorance)

Ego, together with consciousness, will and feeling conform the basic matrix of all sentient beings, we are all in the middle being attracted towards 2 opposing forces that of Maya and that of Spirit, but we have free will to choose which one to follow, that's why after every good or evil action we make we feel the pull to repeat it.

satan was one of the first sentient beings who fell into the trap of Maya, he was originally an angel with creative powers similar to those of God, his task was to create the physical plane and then merge his consciousness back into the infinite spirit, but he grew attached to his individuality and was fearful of loosing it, so he used the creative powers that God gave him to create traps to lure human beings to the physical plane and forget their divine origins.

In order to do this, satan tempted eve and adam to taste the forbidden fruit, this meant that he tempted them to misuse their creative powers to manifest themselves into a body made of flesh and bone so they could unite themselves by sexual intercourse, when they did this, they traded their bodies made of light for a mortal body which will experience disease and death and the limitations we find in this physical plane, once we were trapped here by our ancestors first psychological defeat, we trapped ourselves in the realm of satan which is full of sensory pleasures and temptations that lure many people towards evil, these lures also create attachments in good people which keep us reincarnating here to seek more and more sensory experiences.

Satan did this because as long as there is one human being trapped into the physical plane he will continue to exist, but he can't reing supreme forever because all sons of God were made in his image so eventually our soul will defeat our ego consciousness and will see through the illusion of maya.

God could destroy satan and dissolve Maya just by wishing it, but he lets the cosmic conflict between good and evil to continue because it is God's game, and it's a game that can only be won by right action, devotion, discernment and practicing unconditional love and compassion towards all human beings remembering that they are part of our greater self, thus discarding the identification with our limited and mortal ego, God wanted his children to seek him by love that's why we have free will to decide if we want to dedicate our lifes to the quest for God or have fun and enjoy material pleasures.

one day we will realize that we were always God dreaming that he was a human being.

On ancient India Five people of different religions came to Buddha, and asked him to settle their discussion. One said, "Sir, my book says that God is such and such, and that this is the way to come to God." Another said, "That is wrong, for my book says such and such, and this is the way to come to God"; and so the others. He listened calmly to all of them, and then asked them one by one, "Does any one of your books say that God becomes angry, that He ever injures anyone, that He is impure?" "No, Sir, they all teach that God is pure and good." "Then, my friends, why do you not become pure and good first, that you may know what God is?"

This is far from the standard christian dogma, surely?

It was god's plan from the Fall that Jesus should be sacrificed for the sins of humanity wasn't it? And now you are blaming the Romans?

What gives, Nikk?

But the Romans did execute Jesus. God allowed it to happen, for the redemption of the world.
