He's God, so....my feelings really are irrelevant.
Do you like the fact that if you step off a tall building you'll hit the ground going fast? Regardless of whether or not it's true...do you LIKE that? Do you not wish you could fly? I do.
Heck...I wish I was skinny, or that I didn't wear glasses, or that I could hit a 99 mph fastball....but what I wish for and what is reality are irrelevant.

That is up to the state to make that decision, though. God does grant that authority to government. If they choose not to, again--their choice.

Perhaps in your perspective of reality, but, please, don't impose YOUR perspective on those of us who are rational and do not believe in bronzed aged fairy tales. If you like governments who think a god rules supreme, you might like Iran or Saudi Arabia. You know, the descendants of Ishmael, Abraham's first born. Not the one who Abraham was conned into thinking, that other guy, Isaac, whose whole descendants and their story was based on a lie.
