I base my belief of man walking on the moon by faith.

What do you base your belief of man walking on the moon by?

This is just a philosophical question. Moderator cut: edit

Faith is believing the unseen. Are there any astronauts here?

Don't we all believe things by faith? If not how can you demonstrate that the moon landing is any different than Christ rising from the dead?

Not even sure if you were born in 1969, but I remember it well as I had just got out of the Navy and watched it in my parents living room.

Unlike all the 'faith' silliness, there is mountains of evidence, even recent photo evidence, that validates this is a factual event.

It wasn't billions. The millions that did see, watched on a television screen, they were not on the moon to witness it.

Why not just say that this is a "moon landing conspiracy thread"?

That being said, the were literally THOUSANDS of people involved in he Apollo program.

There has never been a death bed confession.

Man walked on the moon....several times.

Oswald killed JFK alone.

Elvis is dead.

Nineteen highjackers pulled of 9-11 (with the support of many others).

There is nothing going on in Roswell NM.

Because it isn't. Like I said, I believe man walked on the moon.

Evidence of course. Let's see.....

We fire lasers beams at the moon which hit mirrors and bounce back to us. The time the beam takes to complete the journey allows us to calculate the distance between the Earth and the Moon.

1. We know the mirrors are there because the laser beams come back.
2. We know they didn't get there by themselves.
3. We therefore deduce that someone must have put the mirrors there.
4. Having deduced that someone must have put them there, we conclude that the only way they could have done that is to have been there to do it.

See.....when you have evidence, 'faith' becomes redundant.

You're absolutely right. And even then, we might even doubt something happened that really happened (the mind is capable of great faith and doubt). That's why asking for a "sign" is frowned upon, because some people would not believe a sign even if it were given to them. I think all that we perceive to be reality is based on faith of some kind. This is a fantastic thread. It might cause people to think more deeply. It seems to be the nature of man to dislike uncertainty. That is because uncertainty requires faith in something, not necessarily faith in God, but faith in something. Everyone has faith.
