When it comes to the subject of Death, I'm inclined to go with the words of Tecumseh of the Shawnee Nation.

When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies in yourself.

Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision.

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way.

Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Good Thought.

Now I am remembering the words of Crazy Horse at the Battle of the Little Big Horn "Today is a good Day to Die." in the context it was said (" It is a good day to fight! It is a good day to die! Strong hearts, brave hearts to the front! Weak hearts and cowards to the rear!”) it flows good with the words of Tecumseh

It is only this earthly lump of protoplasm we have as a body that dies. After nearly 3/4 of a century abusing the one I have I am ready to cast it aside.

I have a couple of ideas about death.

I've always thought that art is an explosion: something that lasts forever is some which we need not be worried for and thus can be taken for granted and becomes essentially worthless.

The formula for the acceptance of death is simple: live life.

I have always noticed that not many fear death, what they fear is living again (they fear a possible after-life). What Religionist would then follow their religion, if death was real?

Living forever is more disconcerting. Death can be a friend, and take us away from horrendous circumstances. We change dimensions I believe. Energy is transformed. We just don't know everything, and in our current evolution, that may be a blessing.

I'm hoping that in 20-30 years time I will be able to download myself into a robot body that is faster, stronger and better than our present bodies. I won't die, rather, I can just go on sleep mode for a thousand years, then wake up and see what changes have happened, eg- has pot been made legal?

Death could be a thing of the past.
