The Promised Messiah, according to Islamic teaching, was to come at a time marked also by the advent of a Mahdi. True, in other Traditions, we are told that the Mahdi is none other than the Messiah............

It is important, however, to remind ourselves that when the Muslim Community became divided into sects many people began to fabricate Traditions to serve their respective interests. The fabrications were made to promote sectarian beliefs. We meet with many so-called Traditions which tell of the coming of the Mahdi and describe the signs of his advent. But the words employed in these Traditions make it quite clear that they have been designed to favour some sectional or sectarian belief. Some of these Traditions may be true or may contain elements of truth. Even so, a seeker after truth must exercise great care in using them. Such Traditions should not be allowed to become decisive ill the discovery of truth. To cite all example: many Traditions recorded during the Abbaside times apparently speak of the Mahdi and his time. But their net effect is the suggestion that the pro-Abbaside disturbances in Khurasan were sanctioned and supported by God. That those Traditions were fabricated is proved by subsequent history. A thousand years have passed since those Traditions were recorded, but a Mahdi answering their description has not appeared in the world. Similarly, there are Traditions in which the signs announce- ing the time of the Mahdi have been mixed up with descriptions of past events. Unless the two are disentangled from each other, unless the past events which figure as signs of the future are clearly distinguished from the true signs of the future, we cannot reach the truth. 'Those who were ignorant of the main currents of Islamic history have been misled by such fabrications. They treated these Traditions as descriptions of the future and waited in vain for events which had occurred long before. The fabrications, as I have said, were designed to further sectarian ends. Therefore, while considering the signs of the coming of the Mahdi, it is imperative that we should eliminate, out of the traditional descriptions, those which do not point to any definite events. Only thus can we guard against falling into a pit dug by interested people for the furtherance of their own ends......................

The Holy Prophet of Islam (may he receive unlimited mercy and blessings from God) took care to narrate the signs of the coming of the Messiah and the Mahdi as one continuous chain. If we remember this, we can guard against many a mistake and many a mischief created deliberately by interested persons. A chain of signs has to hang together................ These are signs which have to wait on cosmic changes spread over hundreds of years. These signs no human beings, or groups of human beings working together for generations, could create. Another precaution which the Holy Prophet observed in narrating the signs of the Mahdi is that many of those signs have been marked out by him as signs peculiar to the time of the Mahdi. They are signs which were not to appear at any time before the advent of the Mahdi. We should be guided by these rational and useful pointers.

General state of religion
General state of Muslims
State of morals
Religious knowledge and the Ulema
Social conditions and the condition of women
Pestilences
Sex ratio in the general population
Transport, communications, and international contact
Economic conditions
Political conditions
On the surface of the earth
Important heavenly events
A Variety of signs

A Note on the Dadjjal
Reference : These Details are from second Ahmadiyya Khalifah of Promised Messiah and Mahdi in Ahmadiyya Muslim Community

One can find details at length in above link, from which some quotes have been provided.

According to Worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslims, the all signs which were told by God and Holy Prophet s.a.w. have been fulfilled in various respects and the Promised Reformer of Faith has come with title 'Promised Messiah and Mahdi' , anti truth forces who conceal and manipulate truth (like vested interest groups, clergies who are actually power hungry and who incite followers to kill inncents, God-less people, some writers, some inventors etc etc are anti-christ i.e. Dajjaal --- Dajjal comes from dajjal meaning fake, fraud)

In 1889 The Promised Messiah and Mahdi appeared in India. He announced that he came to bring humanity closer to God, so that they can pay rights of God and rights of creation of God. He came without sword. He came with prayers, peace and arguments. Currently his fifth Khalifah leads the community of millions of educated peaceful followers in 202 countries, including the USA. This community has vast record of selfless humanitarian services. They are suffering persecution at places because the Messiah Mahdi did not come as they thought.

No one can fight God. Those who understand, they cross the artificial fence and keep joining the Ahmadiyya Muslim community worldwide.

These days the Holy Khalifah of Promised Messiah and Mahdi is visiting USA West coast. MORE AT IslamAhmadiyya - Ahmadiyya Muslim Community - Al Islam Online - Official Website

Your Mehdi fits every criteria for the antichrist that the Christians were informed about and are expecting, if something is it just is...regardless of how it offends a religion. Good day to you.

Allow me to point out that Jesus quite likely didn't know about Christianity. The religion didn't even come to be until the mid 1st century (around 33-301 AD), long after Jesus was crucified.

I guess we will just have to wait for the return of Jesus(as) and the Arrival of the Mehdi and see if they work together to destroy the Daja'al (anti-Christ) as we believe they will.

The true antichrist doesn't seek to eliminate Christ in the traditional sense. He seeks to be Christ. The antichrist figure that is most popularly presented by Christians today as a charismatic world influencer, that has yet to present himself to the world, is a fabrication created by the very power that the bible refers to as a beast power in The book of Revelation. When the truest antichrist (Satan) reveals himself to the world, he will look exactly like Christ. The only people alive on earth who will not be deceived into thinking he is Christ are those who have studied the word of God and know the true Christ. The power mentioned in Daniel chapter 7 as a power that would seek to change times and law is a political/religious power that has existed since the fall of the pagan Roman Empire. It is the only power in existence today that is both a sovereign nation and the head of a religion. It is the same power that changed the only commandment in God's law dealing with time, when it sought to change the sacredness of the seventh day of the week, which God made holy, to the first day of the week. It sought to change the time in the law.

"For you is your religion, for me is my religion."
To each his own. A wise advice. I like that.

Please explain how atheists can be implicit in something they don't believe in.

I for one, won't accept any religion, "universal" or otherwise.

it use to be that the catholic church would usher in the antichrist, now that has changed, so those "prophets who were wrong about the catholic church are also false prophets. islam is just a boogieman that is easy to point the finger to.

Actually, the teachings of Islam is antichrist in nature. It teaches that Jesus never was crucified, and that he was not the son of God. Any Muslim that believes in the New Testament is supposed to be killed. It is a capitol crime to have faith in the NT, as that would be an insult to Muhammad, and his twisted, perverted version of things.

Moses is antichrist as well as Muhammad was. It was because of Moses's crazy laws and instructions that had the followers of the OT seek out the death of Jesus. But Jesus still showed respect towards the book of terrorism (OT) and Moses. That means that all the miracles Jesus performed, were performed on behalf of Moses's YHWHY. That is why I believe that the next coming of Jesus will be an Islamic who performs miracles on behalf of Muhammad's Allah, and he will wish peace upon Muhammad, and he will usher in chaos and evil, just as Jesus did. The spirit of the Rider, who throws the false Prophets, Moses, and Muhammad into the lake of fire is the savior of the world. The Rider doesn't use miracles to hypnotize, so far as I can tell. He uses a sharp tongue.

You know, I'm not even Christian and I feel compelled to point out that by saying this, you're committing a blasphemy.

It's actually quite interesting to see such a drastic 180 from you, Rider. May I ask what brought it on?
